MNTEST™

The official Multiple Natures assessment.

We built MNTEST to show you what kind of work you're actually built for. It looks at 9 kinds of natural work and 10 ways of thinking — not to put you in a box, but to give you a clear picture of where you naturally move well and where you're working against the grain. Steven Rudolph built it over thirty years because he couldn't find an existing tool that answered that question without flattening people into types.

Access is currently by request. We respond within 24 hours with a link to take the assessment.

Behind the work

Used in education and workforce settings.

MNTEST is not only a personal assessment. It has been used where people are making decisions about study, training, employment, and client support.

Greater Raritan One-Stop has used the Multiple Natures framework with career-center clients since 2019. SOS Children's Villages India has used the work since 2012, with more than 10,000 children reached to date.

SOS Children's Villages India is also undertaking a longitudinal study to examine job placement outcomes and the role MNTEST may have played in student success.

What it returns

MNTEST shows you two things: the kinds of work your mind naturally moves toward, and the ways you take in and process information. The first is your Nine Natures — what kind of problems, situations, and needs pull you in. The second is your Ten Intelligences — how you actually think. Together they give you a picture of who you are, not a type to fit into.

For a plain-language introduction before you request the assessment, read Why You Thrive Here and Not There. It is free in ePub and PDF.

Nine Natures

What kinds of demand you are oriented to meet.

Ten Intelligences

The channels through which you engage.

Profile

A relative shape across the full set, not a type.

Your Nine Natures profile

The relative shape of Protective, Educative, Administrative, Creative, Healing, Entertaining, Providing, Entrepreneurial, and Adventurous in your nature. Not a type. A profile across all nine.

Your Ten Intelligences profile

The relative shape of Gross Bodily, Fine Bodily, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Logical, Linguistic, Graphic Visual, Spatial Visual, Musical, and Naturalistic. Which channels carry signal more readily for you, and which carry less.

The two together

What kinds of demand you are oriented to meet — and the channels through which you actually meet them. The combination is what makes a profile useful in a particular situation, and what the MN Situation Map works from.

How it works

1

Request access. Send us a note through the contact form and tell us you'd like to take MNTEST. We respond within 24 hours with a link to the assessment.

2

Answer from what feels true. There are no right answers and no time limit. The point is to catch the pattern, not perform for the instrument.

3

Receive your profile. You get a profile across all nine Natures and all ten Intelligences, so you can see the shape rather than reduce yourself to a type.

After the test

MNTEST shows you what kind of work you're built for. It doesn't show you what your current job is doing to you — that's a different question, and it's what the MN Situation Map is for. The Map takes what MNTEST finds and looks at your actual situation: what's working, what's wearing you down, and where you could go. The result is a written report, not just a score.

How MNTEST is different

Most assessments stop at the person. They name a type, trait, strength, or preference, and the result starts to feel like an identity. MNTEST is built to keep that from happening.

It returns a profile across the Nine Natures and the Ten Intelligences, then leaves the situational question open: where does this shape actually fit, and what kind of work will call it forward?
